The AIDS and Cancer Specimen Resource (ACSR) contains more than 100,000
individual specimen and associated clinical information. Specimens are entered
into the ACSR database by processing type, disease category, and number of
cases defined by disease category. The ACSR has an on-line database
investigators can use to search
for specimens that meet their research requirements. |

Custom specimen sets can be obtained upon request. The ACSR continues to
develop special sets of specimens, including serial specimens from patients
involved in clinical trials, matched tumor and control specimens, multi-site
autopsy specimens, lymphoma epidemiology study specimens, male/female derived
specimens from all AIDS risk categories, and internationally obtained
specimens. The Acquisition Advisory
Program has been setup to assist investigators in their search for
specimens not listed in bank inventory. |
