your specimen needs. Not only can we run more complex queries on our ACSR
Banking Program than the web search
, our Specimen Acquisition Services (SAS) has been setup to access
other banks' databases and collections to fill your request.

The goal of the ACSR is to obtain specimens for your research project. The ACSR
principal investigators are themselves actively involved in research and have
developed a wide spectrum of contacts over the past eight years. The ACSR has
access to other banks when samples are not currently available in their banks
inventory. Similarly, because of the ACSR investigators' experience with
studies on patient derived specimens, the ACSR also acts in an advisory manner
regarding the appropriate types of specimens that would be required for asking
certain research questions. Finally, as research questions regarding the
pathogenesis of AIDS and cancer evolve over time, the ACSR will continue to
evolve to reflect the needs of investigators involved in these critical fields
of research.

|
Overall, the ACSR seeks to serve the research community by being a resource of
well documented disease associated specimens, whether currently in the ACSR
bank or actively acquired for approved investigations.
